Invitation
The Local Organizing Committee and Mass Spectrometry Society of Japan (MSSJ) welcome you all to attend the 19th IMSC. It is a particular honor that this landmark event - the first IMSC to be held outside Europe - will be staged in Asia. Indeed, the conference city, Kyoto, is one of the leading Asian cities. It is not only renowned as former capital and culture heart of Japan, but also for its place at the cutting edge of mass spectrometry research. The long history can be seen today in 17 UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites, fascinating traditions, cozy workshops, and sumptuous dining; the bright future in state of the art research institutions. The 19th IMSC will demonstrate the mass spectrometry community to be a global body.
Venue
IMSC delegates are cordially invited to use the meetings Mecca of Japan. Kyoto International Conference Center (ICC Kyoto) has shaped the history of conventions in the country since 1966. The venue is known as a place that hosted COP3 in 1997 and inspired the declaration of the Kyoto Protocol on Global Warming. This professional body has been constantly developing its services and expertise to ensure your meeting here will be an unrivalled success.
Scientific Program
MS is now expanding to a wide range of sciences to promote health, safety and our knowledge of nature. The scientific program will reflect the latest trends in fundamental and applied mass spectrometry and related disciplines. The program will encompass plenary and keynote lectures, workshops and poster sessions.
Accommodation
Kyoto offers a large variety of hotels of all categories. There is a particularly large offering of reasonably priced back-packers' hostels and ryokan inns, which provide rooms for many people to share. Most low-cost accommodation can be found easily by doing an Internet search.
Exhibition & Sponsorship
A professional exhibition will be held throughout the conference. For more details, advertisement opportunities or sponsorship kindly visit our web site or contact the conference secretariat.
